WHO WE ARE

The EMG Center provides EMG/Nerve Conduction Testing services (EMG/NCS) throughout the state of Pennsylvania. All tests are performed or supervised by Board Certified Specialists, and the quality diagnostic tests that we provide help members of the healthcare, legal or case management team to identify problems that may be causing weakness, numbness or pain.

Results are delivered within 24-48 hours and this information helps guide the decision-making process from a medical, legal or case management standpoint so that the best possible outcome can be achieved. We get to the root cause of the problem without the guess work. EMG/NCS and Diagnostic Ultrasound help take the guesswork out of providing the best treatment options.

ELECTROMYOGRAPHY (EMG) TESTING

In the EMG portion of the test, a tiny wire is used to analyze the electrical signals in specific muscles. It helps to determine if there is a problem affecting the muscle itself or if there is a problem that disrupts the connection between the muscle and nerve(s) that innervates it.

NERVE CONDUCTION STUDY (NCS) TESTING

A NCS test records the nerve conduction speed and the signal amplitude in specific area(s) in the body. It helps to identify focal or segmental nerve problems or disorders that affect signal transmission.
